Christmas Morning

Meeeerry Christmas!!  I hope you all are enjoying a very blessed Christmas season.  My heart and prayers are with all of you who are carrying very heavy burdens this year.

Our Christmas season hasn't been exactly like I planned - there were no Christmas cards mailed, our $1 felt stockings from Target didn't get any embellishing or name tags of any sort, we have yet to make/decorate any sort of cut out cookies or go drive to see Christmas lights.  On Christmas Eve I spent 3 hours in Target trying to get treatment for a sinus infection.  On Christmas day, Clare randomly started throwing up and Emeric decided he wanted to start potty training ASAP.

And it's ok.  I don't think Mary expected to be giving birth among cattle, and I'm sure she could have envisioned a much more beautiful scene playing out when God became man...and yet the nativity is one of the most truly beautiful scenes of all time.  There is nothing more beautiful than love.  And we've got plenty of that to go around here.

I feel the need to warn you that in the new year I'm going to be working on improving my photography as my main New Year's Resolution and soooo if you don't like copious amounts of photos you might want to click on outta here real fast.  I'm no fancy photographer but I did pull the trusty ol' DSLR out for Christmas...

And that's a wrap.  Tomorrow I'm going to be posting...THE CHRISTMAS SMACKDOWN in which I compare several years of Christmases with children and declare a winner.  Stay tuned...

  2. Awww I love you guys!! And, if you makes you feel better, I spilled a whole cup of coffee in the living room on Christmas morning while trying to get a picture that ended up blurry. =) I can't wait to read tomorrow's post!! Oh, and I love this - "I don't think Mary expected to be giving birth among cattle, and I'm sure she could have envisioned a much more beautiful scene playing out when God became man...and yet the nativity is one of the most truly beautiful scenes of all time.
