And let me say before I begin - I thought I got into my groove here with embedding my pins from Pinterest and now they've gone and changed it on me. I don't know. Bear with me and my lack of blogging finesse. I'll have to figure this out later. Gah!

The weather got HOT here this week, and so naturally lemonade was in order. I was so excited to drink our first batch that we left out the strawberries, but I've got a carton of strawberries in the fridge that is the size of my head so it's only a matter of time before I give in to that gorgeousness.
I got the audio version of Peter Rabbit and the girls are loving listening to it while we're driving around. We got season passes to a local petting zoo and the girls were so excited to find out the rabbits were named Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton Tail, and Peter.

2. Peter Rabbit...and other audio books

We've also been listening to "Peter and the Wolf" and they love that too. I'm stoked that they are able to actually pay attention enough to understand what is going on. I think it's so great for kid's imaginations to have to picture all the characters in their heads and I have such good memories of listening to radio shows as a kid...hmmm I'm starting to feel like the Waltons now so I'm just going to stop.
3. Maxi Dresses & Skirts
Since the abrupt onset of very warm weather, I have been wearing my (coughmaternitycough) maxi nonstop. Since I don't think I'll be wearing anything else this summer thanks to my awesome leg veins (I'd like to trade someone for stretch marks, please...) I'm thinking I should probably have another (non-maternity) maxi in the rotation.
I'm loving these two - the one on the right is made in the USA (and also - surprise, surprise- twice as much :)

4. Boy Bibs
Emeric tried a few bites of food this weekend and I realized all we have in the drawer are pink kitty bibs that say things like "I'm cuddly". Don't get me wrong, Emeric is a cuddly baby - but I feel I owe him something a little more masculine.

I think I can DIY bow ties on a pack of plain bibs for some irresistable cuteness.
5. Four Seater Shopping Carts
Need I say more?
Now go take a peek at an adorable chunk of baby over at Hallie's!!
I like the bite marks on the back of our chair. Thanks Clare!
ReplyDeleteFour sweater shopping carts ftw!!!
ReplyDeleteHeavy to push, but 5 kids in... Yeah. I'm down.
Glad to see you, Jamie! You always make me smile! Adorable pic of your sweetie there...and I know about those poor little guys and all things pink. Rhett learned to ride a big wheel on a hot pink Barbie model...one day a friend of mine pulled up, dropped if her son's old Hot Wheels one, and drove off!! It was awesome finally having some guy stuff around! : )
ReplyDeleteThose shopping carts are pretty awesome. Except then when you're going through the checkout line, whoever's on the right can easily reach all the candy :P
ReplyDeleteAlso, you can have my awesome stretch marks. I have to warn you, I have them on my calves and thighs TOO, so shorts aren't so hot... But I just wear them anyway, because I stopped caring :P
Also, the bite marks just make the chair look shabby-chic. Kids really help achieve that look :P
