But this is how it really goes down:
No more ornaments left to hang. A sad moment.
I think next year we'll just put the kids to bed, pour ourselves a large glass of wine, and invent a story about magical Christmas tree decorating elves. Anyone with me??
Oh my gosh, this is so funny! You should put this on Pinterest with "Nailed it" written on it. =) I miss you guys!!
ReplyDeleteAs your mother, I am wondering where you ever got this idea of a "perfect Christmas"....certainly not from personal experience!
ReplyDeletelol Mom you should be glad I have such fond memories from childhood...
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, this post made me laugh out loud. So. True. :)
ReplyDeleteNo way...did THE Jennifer Fulweiler just comment on my blog?? Although really, your fame now is minuscule compared to what it will be when your TLC show breaks...in the wise words of Sarah Reinhard "In about two more episodes, we'll all be saying we knew Jen Fulwiler when she was just a blogger"... :)
DeleteThanks for stopping by!!!
Oh and mom sorry I wasn't nearly as excited that you commented as I was about Jen F...
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh. Celebrating the afterglow of Christmas by catching up on blogs and finding new ones. Yours is new to me, and I am so happy I came here. Thanks for the laugh!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you stopped by!! It's either laugh or cry with moments like those... :)
DeleteHahahahaha I need to start taking pictures of temper tantrums instead of just wanting to cry! I'm with you on the wine, that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteGrabbing the camera actually helps so much!!! Reminds me to laugh...the kids won't always be 2 and 3!! (Although I don't know, we might have a 2 or 3 year old for many years to come hahaha)
DeleteThat picture is fabulous and this is hilarious!!
ReplyDeleteThe same thing happened again today during the take the tree down cemermony....
