Theme Thursday - Hats and Scarves

Linking up with Cari again for Theme Thursday!!

Just a note, you don't need a fancy camera or Photoshop to link up - it's all about learning to take better pictures...or in my case, I just want to TAKE pictures. Any pictures. Because I would forget to do it otherwise.

I was excited about this week's theme because I had gotten this adorable hat for Emeric from Etsy (Nini's Handmades) and had taken nary a picture of him wearing it. So here it is:

Lightened and Sharpened in Photoshop...

I feel like this is a little "Glamour Shots By Deb" but I'm ok with that.  It's been a loooong week, and laying him down on the bed in front of the window is about as creative as I can get with the composition right now.  The important thing is that I got a picture of him in the hat, even if I didn't get dressed yesterday.  And someday when I look at this picture I won't remember whether or not I was wearing pajamas when I took it, I'll just be glad to remember those cute little baby cheeks peeking out from under his adorable hat.  If it weren't for this link up, I guarantee this photo would never have been taken.

So what are you waiting for?!  Go link up!

  1. I'm going to edit the EXIF data of that photo and put a comment reminding you that you were wearing pajama pants when you took it :)

  2. Love it. And I think with adorable baby photography, less is more. The white shirt/white background combo make his eyes pop and that cute cute hat not get lost in the picture.

Thanks for linking up, hope to see you next week.

    1. YES!! I've never heard the name Eamon before, and people tell me all the time they have never heard the name Emeric!!

    2. Sister and I had to look up Emeric's name because we thought, "It's gotta be an actual saint's name and not just something trendy..." and then we found out it IS a name and decided you must be Hungarian. Way to go, Internet!

    3. Good detective work! However, no Hungarian on either side...St. Emeric is the son of St. Stephen of Hungary. And since my name is Stephen,we thought it was a good fit. Ava's middle name is Marie, so her name is a play on Ave Maria. Clare's namesake is obvious:-)

    1. I definitely will, and I am SO glad for the weekly kick in the pants to remind me just to take the time to get pictures of the kids!!! It's not easy taking pictures of little ones and I avoid it way too often!!

    1. I KNOW!! The hat is just sooooo cute but it's so hard to keep it on him and I end up leaving it off him half the time when we go out...

  15. If you keep showing me your scrumptious baby, one of two things is going to happen: 1) I am going to come steal him, or 2) I'm going to beg my hubby for another. 1) is sort of frowned upon by the law, and 2) would cause my hubby a great deal of anxiety right now!

Enough about my hormones: I love love love the white in this photo. Such a pure background and it looks like a professional shot to me!
